GeoDict API

The special object called gd is available everywhere within a Python macro. The whole GeoDict Application Programming Interface (API) is exposed via the gd-object. In the following, the methods provided by the built-in gd-object are documented. The interface allows running any GeoDict command that a macro can execute.

The GeoPy API covers the following topics:
GeoDict command functions Work with GeoDict commands. Structure Functions Access and edit structure files (*.gdt). GAD-Object Functions Access and edit GAD-objects. Result Functions Access and edit volume fields, triangles and result files. Material Functions Access material information. GeoDict Settings Functions Get information about GeoDict settings, as release version or location of different folders. Macro Functions Get information about the current macro. Progress Bar Functions Set-up a progress bar for your macro. Pop-Up Functions Prevent or raise pop-ups. Dialog Class Create your own customized dialog for variable input or messages. Graph Dialog Class Create a GeoDict graph with the graph dialog class. Visualization Functions Get the current view status as dictionary or plot. ImportGeo-Vol Functions ImportGeo-Vol specific functions to create your own custom image processing filter. Particle Functions Access the data corresponding to loaded particles from FilterDict or AddiDict simulations.
