Example Structures
The following example structures are considered within the DiffuDict user guide. Their main differences are the relevant length scales (voxel length and pore sizes) and the presence of a porous constituent material.
Example 1: Model of a fibrous gas diffusion layer (GDL) as used in PEM fuel cells; voxel length 1 µm, model size 500 µm x 500 µm x 200 µm, porosity 79 % with mean pore diameter of 31 µm. (Download .gdt file)
Example 2: The same gas diffusion layer model as Example 1, but with an attached, unresolved microporous layer; voxel length 1 µm, model size 500 µm x 500 µm x 230 µm. (Download .gdt file)
Example 3: Resolved model of the microporous layer of example 2; voxel length 10 nm, model size 4 µm x 4 µm x 4 µm, porosity 63 % with mean pore diameter of 0.25 µm. (Download .gdt file)
