Export as GAD Objects
This command was part of the ExportGeo-Base module in versions 2023 or earlier. With it, you can create a .gad file that contains a selection of GAD objects present in the current structure. You can also use this command to export other visualized data in the form of GAD objects.
Click the Options’ Edit… button to open the Export to GAD Options dialog.
There, select a Result File Name. The exported file is stored next to this *.gdr result file with the same base name and suffix *.gad

Export Analytic Object Data
Check this box to export the current structure. By default, all GAD objects are included in the file. The number of stored objects can be reduced by checking Export only one Material ID and/or Export Objects in Range.
Check Export only one Material ID and select the Export Material ID to store only GAD objects of the selected material ID in the written .gad file.
Check Export Objects in Range and select Start Number and End Number to store only the GAD objects with an object ID in the selected range. The object IDs are e.g. shown in the Edit GAD Objects command dialog or in the pop-up widget shown when the mouse pointer is rested over a certain object in the viewport.

Export Current Particles
You can only select this option when a particle (*.gpp) or particle trajectory (*.gpt) file is loaded, e.g. from a FilterDict or AddiDict result file. All particles are saved as Sphere objects at their final positions in the .gad file.
Only the particles currently selected for visualization in the Particles View Controls tab are stored in the .gad file.
|
Export Current Trajectories
You can only select this option when a particle trajectory (*.gpt) file is loaded, e.g. from a FilterDict or AddiDict result file. All trajectories are saved as CurvedCircularFiber objects.
The fiber diameter of the CurvedCircularFiber objects either corresponds to the Particle Diameter or you may select a Fixed Diameter for all trajectories.
Only the trajectories currently selected for visualization in the Particles View Controls tab are stored in the .gad file.
|
Export Current Streamlines
You can only select this option when a vector field (e.g. the result of a flow computation) is loaded and visualized with streamlines.
All streamlines are saved as CurvedCircularFiber objects with the selected Streamline Diameter.
Only the streamlines currently visibly in the 3D viewport are stored in the .gad file.

Write File in YAML Syntax
This option is checked by default. If unchecked, the .gad file is stored in the file syntax of version 2022 or earlier.
