Rotate GAD Objects

After selecting Rotate GAD Objects from the pull-down menu, and clicking the Edit… button, the Rotate GAD Objects dialog opens.

Enter the Euler angles Psi, Theta, and Phi by which the objects in the structure should rotate and click OK to return to the GadGeo section. Click Run to rotate the objects in the structure by the given rotation angles.

z-axis fixed

new x-axis fixed

Phi rotates about the existing z-axis.

Theta rotates about the new x-axis.

Psi rotates about the new z-axis

Observe the turning of the structure by 135º about the (new) X-axis (Theta). No rotation was previously applied around the (old) Z-axis (Phi). The origin of the axes is located in the center of the domain.
