GeoDict User Guide 2025

Metrology

With the Metrology functionality, you can measure distances and angles in the 2D View of a structure.

Select View 2D Cross Section (SEM) in the menu bar. In the Camera tab of the View Control panel, choose the Direction (X, Y or Z) and the Slice of the structure for the measurement.

Note-Important

Important! You have to activate the measurement mouse mode with the toolbar-MeasureDistancesAndAngles icon from the toolbar to start a measurement! This will also open the Measure Angles and Distances dialog in the Metrology tab of the GUI sidebar. The toolbar icon and the Metrology tab are grayed out and not accessible when the structure is viewed in 3D rendering.
