While the separation of solid materials and pores of a structure can easily be done using image processing methods in ImportGeo-Vol, the separation of binder from grains is often not possible since they have similar gray values in the scan.

If you want to separate binder from the grains, you can use the Identify Binder (AI) command from GrainFind. In this command, a trained neural network is applied to the structure and its output determines whether a solid voxel is binder or not.
