Solver
The options that can be selected on the Solver are the same as for the charging of a whole battery cell.
Parallelization Benchmark Results A half cell consisting of a graphite electrode and a lithium reservoir is simulated. The graphite electrode is charged from 5% to 91%. The simulation is run for increasing structure size to account for inhomogeneities or for battery aging simulations. The simulation is run with LIR solver. The necessary memory for the computation is increasing linearly with the number of voxels simulated. Even a simulation with 250 million voxels can be run in less than 3 days, with only 50 GB RAM required. |
