Plots
Under the Plots tab various result plots are available:
Convergence
The Plots tab also includes a Convergence tab with a chart of the Permeability (or Mean Velocity or Flow Rate) at given Iteration values. See the convergence graphs of the iterative solver for each of the calculated directions previously chosen in the Options dialog.
|
Residual
The Residual plots tab shows the Linear Residual and the Newton Residual at given Iteration values. See the residual graphs for each of the calculated directions.
The Newton Residual is defined as the residual while solving non-linear equations with Newton’s method. The Newton residual curve changes, when the equation is solved, while the linear residual changes with every iteration while solving a linear equation system.
This plot is available when the Krylov method is used.

Customize plots
As usual, right clicking on the plot opens a small dialog where to choose to Edit Axis Settings. Also, this dialog can be opened by selecting the plot from the Plot Options pull-down menu in the Post-Processing panel on the left and then choosing Edit Axis Settings.
The scale of the X- and Y-axis can be manually entered to compare Convergence, Velocity/Layers or Pressure/Layers graphs from different permeability computations on the same or various structure models. Also, the axis units and the number format can be changed. Find more detailed information in the Result Viewer user guide.
