Cut Fibers to Domain
With Cut Fibers to Domain, all fibers in the domain are cut so that their endpoints are in the current domain. Infinite fibers are converted to finite fibers. Other objects (spheres, ellipsoids, …) are not affected.
This option is useful when exporting the fibers as objects, e.g., for meshing them with MeshGeo, or for combining them with other structures while maintaining the object information, e.g., in LayerGeo. Click the Options’ Edit… button to open the Cut Fibers to Domain dialog.

The command will cut the fiber center-lines at the domain boundary. For periodic geometries, the resulting voxel geometry will not change by this. For non-periodic geometries, the voxel geometry inside of the domain may change near the fiber cut-points at the domain boundary.
To avoid this, enable Embed Domain to move the fiber cut-points outwards from the domain boundary by the maximal fiber radius. In this case, the fiber center-lines will end outside of the domain and the voxel geometry inside of the domain will not change. This option is available only for non-periodic domains.
The effect of cutting fibers to the domain can best be observed when embedding the structure with ProcessGeo-Embed.
