Create Videos

Generate a video showing the largest identified grains compared to their fit shapes from the Create Videos tab. The exemplary video shows which information will be shown in the video. At the top right the current grain and its fit in the whole structure is highlighted. At the top left, a crop to the single grain overlayed with its fit is shown. At the bottom left, the Grain ID, Volume, Equivalent Diameter, and Sphericity are displayed. In the bottom middle, the corresponding marker in the Equivalent Diameter - Krumbein Sphericity Scatter Plot is highlighted. At the bottom right, you can find the grain orientation highlighted in the orientation polar plot.

Above the exemplary video, choose from the drop-down menu if you want to create the video with or without CAD.

Note-Important

Important! You need an ExportGeo-CAD license to create the video with CAD! The version without CAD works in any case.

Click Edit Parameters… to choose the Number of Grains that should appear in the video. Additionally, you can edit the Approx. Video Duration and the Fontsize for Plots and their labels. Check Keep Images if you want to save the single images of the video. In the upper right corner of the video, the position of the currently shown grain and its fit in the whole structure is shown. If you want a smooth transition from grain to its fit, you can check Crossfade Images. Click OK to save the parameters and close the dialog.

To start the creation of the video click the Create Video… button. The video and the additional files are saved in the results folder belonging to the loaded *.gdr file. Open the result folder by right-clicking on the file name or file path in the Result Viewer Header section and choose Open Result Folder.

Click Play Video on the bottom right opens the video file in the default video player.
