Identify Grains

With Identify Grains, individual grains are identified and analyzed in a given structure. The method introduces a segmentation of the grains, based on a distance transform, which identifies the number of grains, as well as the grain volume, sphericity, and the orientation of the grains. Based on the statistical properties of the identified grains, a digital twin of the structure can be created with GrainGeo. Find more details about the theory behind Identify Grains in the Theoretical Basics section.
