Compare Maps

Combined result files can be compared by clicking the Compare Maps tab. Entries in various colors are seen in the tabs GeoMap, InputMap, LogMap, PostMap, ResultMap, and ParameterMap under the Compare Maps tab.

Differences and similarities among the result files are quickly spotted through the colors of these entries. The same color scheme applies for the maps of two or more result files if they are selected simultaneously and shown side by side.

Colors for Keys

  • The key is green if it is the same in all result files.
  • The key is orange if it is contained in all result files, but the values differ. This holds also if there is a difference in a sub key.
  • The key is black if it is not contained in all result files.

Colors for Values and Units

Colors for values and units are similar to colors of keys.

  • The value is green if it is the same in all result files.
  • The value is red if it differs in at least one of the result files.
  • The value is black if it does not appear in all result files
