GeoDict User Guide 2025

Constituent Materials

Under the Constituent Materials tab, the Invading Fluid and Displaced Fluid can be entered. The tab is similar to the one for capillary pressure but some properties cannot be entered (e.g. surface tension and contact angle).

If the phase distribution under the Wetting Parameters tab is chosen by Pore Size, the displaced fluid must be present in the structure. If it is taken from Simulated Wetting Process, then both fluids can be changed and do not have to be already present in the current structure.

Set the Temperature applied for the calculation in the selected units below. Click Open & Edit Material Database to edit the materials properties in the material database if needed.

The next line with Invading Fluid Density/Viscosity and the table below show the same information, once for the invading fluid and below for the materials present in the structure. The values shown for the selected material law are Density, Dynamic Viscosity and the lower and upper bound of the Temperature Range in which the values are defined. For solid and porous materials in the structure their Permeability is defined in the respective tab.
