GeoDict User Guide 2025

Visualization Elements

For in-depth analysis of simulation results, images of geometries and images of properties can be displayed in 2D cross-section (SEM) view and in 3D rendering.

Different features are available for visualization in 2D and in 3D. A great number of attributes and features may be toggled and adjusted to complement and enhance the images’ visual information.

The activation of these GeoDict visualization features is governed directly through five points of access in the Graphical User Interface (GUI):

  1. View Menu in the menu bar, which gives access to some general options.
  2. Color & Visibility tab in the GUI Sidebar, which is expandable and may be undocked.
  3. View Controls above the visualization area, grayed out if no structure is loaded in memory.
  4. Visualization Area to view the visualization and move the structure around.
  5. Visualization Tab in the GUI Sidebar, which is expandable and may be undocked.
