GeoDict User Guide 2025

Upload Results

To copy GeoDict results from the cloud machine to the dashboard, double-click the copyProjectFolderToDashboard.py icon on the desktop. This will create a ZIP archive of all files in the /home/geodict/MyFirstGeoDictProject directory. Enter a Result name in the dialog that opens to specify a name for the ZIP file. After clicking OK, a progress bar shows you the uploading process.

Once the dialog and the progress bar close, you can find the results as a ZIP file in the Cloud Data table. Here, you can download the ZIP file to your local machine by clicking on the blue file name. The data will remain available unless it is deleted. Note that you can also select the ZIP file again when starting another machine in the future to continue working with the project folder contents, e.g., consider creating a ZIP file at the end of your working day, terminating the machine, and starting a new machine using that ZIP file to continue working on this data on the next day.

Note-Important

Important! The Cloud data allows you to exchange data between local and cloud machines and can also serve as short-term storage, e.g. storing results after working in the cloud and using these results to start a new cloud machine the next day. It should not be used as long-term storage for data.

You can also upload a specific folder only by right-clicking on this folder in the file manager on the cloud machine. Then select Copy folder to dashboard in the menu. This will open the same upload dialog, where you can enter a Result name. After clicking OK, a progress bar shows you the uploading process.
