Job Queue
The Job Queue allows you to run a Server on a powerful machine where multiple users can submit computationally intensive simulations. These simulations, referred to as Jobs, are automatically queued and executed without requiring complex scripts or manual intervention. This setup ensures efficient resource management by preventing competition for CPU cores, RAM, or GeoDict licenses. Jobs can be configured to run either in parallel or sequentially. Additionally, you can set up a local Job Queue server on your own machine to process queued jobs overnight or during weekends.
A GeoDict-Server license is required to start a job queue server. The job queue server runs submitted jobs in separate GeoDict instances, similar to executing a macro in the command line. This process requires a GeoDict-Base license, as well as licenses for the modules and processes currently in use. Users who want to submit jobs need a GeoDict license for their local machine.
