Results

Click OK to input the entered parameters, and then click Run in the DiffuDict section to start the Bosanquet Approximation command.

The results are instantly shown in the opening Result Viewer after the process is finished, the screenshot below shows the results obtained for the MPL model (Example 3):

In the Results – Report subtab, the following values are shown:

  • The effective diffusivity (here named ), computed with Bosanquet’s formula (179) .
  • The relative diffusivity and the tortuosity are unknown, as there is no common reference diffusivity.
  • The characteristic length as used in equation (176) and computed with the Knudsen Diffusion command.
  • Mean free path , as entered by the user.
  • Knudsen number computed as .
  • Relative bulk diffusivity as defined in equation (166) and computed with the Bulk (Laplace) Diffusion command.
  • Effective bulk diffusivity , determined by multiplication of the dimensionless bulk diffusivity with the reference diffusivity as in equation (180) .
  • Relative Knudsen diffusivity as defined in equation (177) and computed with the Knudsen Diffusion command.
  • Effective Knudsen diffusivity , determined by multiplication of the dimensionless Knudsen diffusivity with the reference diffusivity as in equation (181) .
  • The Particles diffusivity for Knudsen diffusion computed by equation (175) using the user defined mean thermal velocity.
  • Total runtime and total memory usage.
