The Create Videos tab allows to create a video of the current large deformation simulation directly from the results viewer. Click Create Video… to use the default settings or Edit Parameters… to set them to your needs. The video creation is performed with an underlying python macro which can be opened and edited with the Open Macro File button.

After the parameters are set, click Create Video… to create the video. After the generation is finished, the video file is saved in the result folder and can be opened with the Play Video button.

Since GeoDict 2024, it is also possible to create videos for other results than for von Mises strain or stress. For this, choose the Manual option in the Edit Parameters dialog and define the result value you want to record. The correct names for Image Name and Field Name can be looked up in the Status and Modules section of the GeoDict GUI or the solution field loading dialog.

Note that Deformed Solution Files have to be calculated in the simulation, and all volume fields that are to be visualized in the video have to be checked in the Output tab. Before starting the video generation, the original geometry needs to be loaded.
