Pile Options

Determine physical properties of the resulting structure model such as size, resolution, overlapping mode, and object volume percentage.

The parameters defining the general properties of the granular structure are entered under the Pile Options tab. They are grouped into Domain, Generation and Overlap Mode, and Stopping Criterion panels. Additionally, five or six single options, depending on the chosen Stopping Criterion, are available in two groups: the Structure Options at the top and the General Options at the bottom of the dialog.

The parameters are organized in the following groups:

  • Structure Options
Pile in the current domain with or without keeping the current structure and define the Material ID Mode.
  • Domain
Define the domain parameters, such as resolution and matrix material.
  • Generation and Overlap Mode
Decide about prohibiting overlap or defining an isolation distance.
  • Stopping Criterion
Define according to which criteria the piling of objects should be stopped.
  • General Options
Define parallelization, temperature, and random seed for the piling process.
