Image Registration is an intensity-based method of aligning images. It is used to align two scans of the same structure that have been shifted or rotated relative to each other.

From the datasets currently loaded to the Image Processing dialog, specify a Target Image. Learn how to load multiple datasets into the dialog here. Click Apply to shift and rotate the entire 3D image to align it with the selected target image.

The following example shows two images of the same structure taken from different angles. In order to use both images for AI segmentation, for example, they must be registered.
