3D Inhomogeneity

The 3D Inhomogeneity command calculates the distribution of the Solid Volume Fraction, Solid Density, or Porosity in specified adjacent sub-volumes. Each sub-volume is a cube with specified side length and the selected property is determined independently in each of the cubes.

The solution file of different Raster Lengths shows the density in the individual sub-volumes. In the middle of the structure, the boxes can be clearly distinguished.

Note-KnowHow

Know how! The GeoApp Compute Fractal Dimension computes 3D Inhomogeneity with increasing raster lengths to analyze the structure.
