The Sharpen filter can be applied to improve low contrast 3D images.

The amount of sharpening is controlled with the Strength parameter.

The Radius determines the area around the edges that will be sharpened.

The Threshold / (Gray Value) describes a minimal difference that regions must have before getting sharpened. This parameter allows you to preserve smooth areas in the image.
