2-Point Correlation

The 2-Point Correlation command computes the probability for two voxels having a certain distance to belong to the same material phase. For each distance, several voxels are compared if they belong to the same phase and a probability is computed based on this information. If two voxels are correlated, the probability is 1, if they are not correlated, for example in a completely random structure, the probability is 0. An average probability for each distance is given as result.

Isotropic correlation was computed for a maximum point-to-point distance of 20 µm.

  • You can now also compute on index images (Geometry Mode) and you are able to choose how the calculated correlation function is normalized.
  • Additionally, the resulting plots have been revised.
