Identify Pores
The Watershed algorithm is used to Identify Pores, which is especially useful to analyze mechanical and transport properties of foams and other structures with interconnected pores. The method introduces a segmentation of the pores, based on a distance transform, which identifies the number of pores, as well as the pore volume. This analysis is also very important to study the complex interconnected pore space in µCT scans of rocks.
