Options

When Simulate Diffusion Experiment is chosen from the pull-down menu in the DiffuDict section, clicking the OptionsEdit… button opens the Simulate Diffusion Experiment dialog. The settings are organized under the Constituent Materials, Boundary Conditions, Solver, and Grid tabs. The Equations & References tab shows the equations (129) and (130) of this DiffuDict chapter for illustration and explains the used variables.

Tabs of the Simulate Diffusion Experiment dialog

  • Constituent Materials
    Enter the material parameters of the solid material and the diffusing gas species.
  • Boundary Conditions
    Define the boundary conditions used by the corresponding solvers.
  • Solver
    Set the simulation stopping criterion and the desired accuracy and optimize the computational resources.
  • Grid
    If the EJ solver is chosen, choose to discretize the structure by Voxels or Boxels.
