GeoDict User Guide 2025

Materials and Thread Types

The Materials and Thread Types tab allows you to define up to seven different thread types for both the Weft and Warp-System. The Thread definition works similarly to the Threads tab of all the other WeaveGeo commands. The Weft-System panel consists of 7 tabs named AX to GX where the parameters for each thread are entered. The seven threads of the weft-system are assigned Material IDs from 01 to 07. Similarly, the tabs for the Warp-System are named AY,...,GY, respectively. The warp system's threads are assigned Material IDs 08 through 14. The names AX, AY,... appear again in the Binding tab.

WeaveGeo_ComplexWeave_MaterialsAndThreadTypesTab

This tab is divided into three main parts. At the top select how overlapping threads should be treated. Below, there are two panels next to each other, one for the settings of the Weft Thread and one for the settings of the Warp Thread. Both contain the same parameters for the different thread types. Each thread can be modeled individually with different parameters.
